Rapai Geleng Dance
"Rapai" is the name of tamborine used to accompanysongs and dances.
"Rapai Geleng" is a dance specially
developed with this tamborine in mind. The movementare almost the same as
in the "Ratoh Duek" dance, but
the female dancers handle one tamborine each, whichgives the dance a very
distinct and enjoyable flavor.
A song with Islamic teachings accompanies the dance.
